Let Go And Let God

...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
                             Hebrews 12:1
Some of the most prevalent and misunderstood things that keep us from operating in purpose and being certain about our destiny are the toxic thoughts and lethal strongholds within us that are holding us captive. Whether it is the memories of past experiences, destructive habits we have allowed to control us, emotional attachments to unhealthy people or things, misplaced desires, limited beliefs, or narrow mindedness, all undermine our purpose, our meaning, and lasting fulfillment.
If we allow these things to remain unadddressed, we will go through life feeling weighed down. If they are not identified, they will continuously burden our soul. As God's people, we must lay aside every weight, and sin which doth easily beset us.... looking unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. (See Hebrews 12:1-2)
When we continue to hold on to weights, they not only tie us down, but they also keep us stagnate in our way of thinking which in turn, allows us to engage in counterproductive activities. If these patterns continue, we will eventually abandon our dream, abort our purpose, and live unfulfilled lives.
God wants us to know that He is here for us. Waiting for us with open arms to accept His invitation to come unto Him, all who labour and are heavy laden, and He will give us rest. (See Matthew 11:28)
Will you accept God's invitation? Will you give yourself permission to accept what only God can give you? Or will you continue to operate in your own strength, continuously getting undesired results? You have a choice. I hope that you choose Jesus. You'll Be Glad You Did!
