What Is Your Pharoah?

Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with burden...14) And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage... Exodus 1:11,14

What is your Pharoah? What is keeping you in bondage? What has you so bound that you are missing your blessings from the Lord? Not because He is not blessing you, but because you can't let go of where you've been, to embrace where you are going.

Too often we have things that keep us bound; whether it is how we see ourselves, how we relate to people who are different from us, how we handle money, etc. These things keep us so tied down to the point where we can't move into our destiny. It is very important that we recognize that just as physical slavery exist, so does mental slavery.

Mental slavery is when your mind can't get passed what it is used to doing in order for you to move forward. You remain stuck in past situations, even though you have physically move  out of the environment. Your thought life, your behavior-all react to current situations with old methodology. You allow your past to dictate your future.

Walking into the freedom that Jesus died for us to have is a process. It takes time to renew our minds. Renewing our minds comes by studying the word of God and applying it to our everyday lives (See Romans 12:2).There is also a lot of responsibility that comes with freedom. It is not enough to be made free, one must remain free; even during those difficult times. We must stand on the Truth (the Word of God) and allow Him to lead and guide us during those times as well as the good times.

John 8:31-32 tells us that if  we know the truth and walk in it, we shall be made free. Therefore, it is not enough to know it, we must operate in it.

It's time for us to stop playing god and allow God to be God in our lives: not just one day, but everyday. BE BLESSED!!!!
