The Importance Of Gratitude

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Numbers 21:4-6
In addition to the bad attitude that the children of Israel had in the above scriptures, they lack gratitude. It is very important that we show gratitude and appreciation to God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us. We have to purpose in our hearts that we will do this on a daily basis.
Just as the Israelites were having difficulty letting go of their negative attitudes, and as a result, suffered severe consequences from God, we too have to know that lack of gratitude through murmuring and complaining will cause us to suffer as well. We have to stop looking at where we came from and focus on where God is leading us.
When we find ourselves in difficult situations, it is important that we constantly remind ourselves of the goodness of the LORD and all that He has done for us and our loved ones. By doing so, it will help us get through the hard times with our faith in tact, and we walk away victoriously. BE BLESSED!
