But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
There is a fine line between seeking God because we desire to have a closer relationship with Him, and seeking Him because of what we can get from Him. We should be very careful and
mindful of our motives behind our actions. God is not our Santa Claus. He is our God who should be reveranced, praised, and worshipped because of the awesome God He is, and because of the sacrifice, and the love shown to us even when we were still in sin.
Today, let's take a self-examination as to why we are seeking God. Are we seeking Him because of something we want, or are we seeking Him because we know He is truly worthy of it?
Note: When you are in the valley-worship God! When you are on top of the mountain-worship God!When all your needs are met-worship God! When you are in need-worship God! It is only when all things become the same to us in the light of His glory, that He is free to give us all things. Remember-seek His presence (spend time with Him), not His presents (material things you want from Him). BE BLESSED!
