Encouragement Makes Us Better

He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Everyone needs encouragement. I don't care how big and bad a person thinks they are, they too have encountered the need for encouragement on numerous occasions. Maybe it is because of the lack of encouragement that some people find themselves behaving in such a way that is unpleasant and unsuitable to live with.
How is it that something so simple can bring about so much change, growth, and development in someone's life. How is it that something as simple as a compliment or a praise, or even a thank you, can motivate a person to do things they ordinarily felt they couldn't. It is because words have power! Words have the ability to edify (build up), or destroy. It is through the Words of God that the world exist. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. Therefore, we should definitely choose our words carefully.
It doesn't take much to encourage someone. All it takes is for you to put forth the effort to do it. Don't let another day go by without taking the time to encourage those you could in contact with. You never know what influence you may have in their lives. BE BLESSED!
Treat a man as he appears to be and you make him worse. But treat a man as if he already were what he potentially could be, and you make him what he should be.
