...for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
Are you waiting for your circumstance to change before you allow yourself to experience the joy of the Lord? If you are, you may be waiting a long time and wasting each day you have been blessed with, not realizing that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
We must realize as saints of God that He isn't as interested in changing our circumstances as He is in changing us. Therefore, it is totally up to us how long we go through our storm. Murmuring and complaining doesn't speed up the process; neither does going into depression. However, if we learn to praise Him and thank Him for all that He has done, as well as what we are believing Him to do, then just maybe we can speed up the process.
Joy enables us to enjoy our journey in life whether we are in adverse circumstances are not. Joy is not only our strength, but our weapon in spiritual warfare. We need to constantly remind ourselves that we will never experience the joy Jesus intended for us to have if we wait until our circumstances are perfect in our lives.
From this day forward, make a conscious decision to experience the joy of the Lord daily and operate in it's strength. BE BLESSED!
