And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Eygyptians? For it had been better for us to have serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. Exodus 14:11-12
Isn't it amazing how God can bring us out of a situation that we are not happy with, and we sabotage His efforts with negative thoughts/comments? We are so accustom to our past living experiences that we don't appreciate the blessing that God has blessed us with.
Here we have the children of Israel been lead by Moses to the land that has been promised to them by God. But instead of embracing the change from slavery to freedom, they held on to their old way of thinking to the point that most of them didn't even see the Promise Land.
What are you allowing to keep you from receiving the blessings that God has for you? Are you bringing your old way of living and thinking into a new environment? Are you bringing old methodology into new beginnings? Think about it.
The children of Israel were provided for each day. God fed them, protected them from Pharoah and his army, delivered them out of slavery, and yet they insisted on keeping their slave mentality. I know that it takes time to renew your mind from what you are use to, to what you have presently. However, God will work with you. That's why we have the Bible as our road map as to how we are suppose to live. The children of Israel had God right there, performing miracles after miracles, and yet they refuse to believe in the promise.
What about you? Are you refusing to believe in the promises of God? Is your way of thinking hindering you from receiving all that God has in store for you. I hope not. But in the event that it is, there's hope. Let the Word of God light your path, and provide you with the knowledge and wisdom you need to live the life you were predestined to live. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
