Faith Under Attack

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though so some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1 Peter 4:12-14

Are you under attack? If yes, then you must know that it is not you per say that the enemy is attacking, it is your faith that is under attack. The enemy will use whatever is dear to you to cause you to lose faith in God. He knows that our connection with God is through our faith. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please him. Therefore, it is our faith that the enemy is after; not you, your children, your spouse, home, job, car, etc. IT'S YOUR FAITH!

In the above scripture, it tells us to not think that it is strange when we suffer for Christ's sake. Afterall, Christ suffered and we too will suffer also in this Christian walk. So don't be surprise when people talk about you, lie on you, and misuse you. As long as you know that you are in the will of God, keep doing what you do. But let's read further into the scripture. In verse 15, it says, But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or  as a busybody in other men's matters. Meaning that we need to know the difference between suffer for being a follower of Jesus, and suffering because we have said or done things we shouldn't have. We have to know that we will reap what we sow; good or bad.

So now that I have given you something to think about, take the time to analyze the reason why you may be suffering. Ask yourself this question, I'm I suffering, or am I reaping? Only you will know the answer to this question. I will reiterate that if you are suffering for Christ's sake, then know that the enemy is after your faith-hold on and don't let go! But if you are suffering because of something you did or said, then I recommend that you fix it. Apologize, ask for forgiveness, and sin no more. IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:19
