And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. Mark 10:47-48
Who or what is keeping you from getting your blessing from the Lord? Who are you allowing to keep you from crying out to the Lord for your blessing? Whether you are standing in the need of a financial blessing, a healing, deliverance from an addiction or family problems, etc., God is waiting on you to seek Him for help.
Blind Bartimaeus was sitting by the highway begging when he heard that it was Jesus who was passing by. He began to cry to Jesus to have mercy on him, but was told to be quiet. Blind Bartimaeus continued to cry out to Jesus to have mercy on him. He was determined to get his healing. Which is how we have to be. We have to show determination, tenacity, persistence, and above all faith, inorder to get what we need from the Lord.
Jesus said in vs.52, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Just as Blind Bartimaeus took advantage of his opportunity to be blessed by Jesus, we too need to take advantage of our opportunity as well. God is no respecter of person. He told us that He sent His Word to heal and deliver; all we have to do is ask. IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
