If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5
GOD IS SO AWESOME! In our Bible Study class , we are studying forgiveness. During class on Tuesday, I didn't understand the meaning of one of the scriptures we had read. When I expressed that I didn't understand, my question was immediately addressed. After hearing the answer, I knew that what I had asked and what had been preceived were two different things; which resulted in me lacking the meaning of this scripture. Frustrated that my question was misunderstood, and that I still lacked understanding, I silenced myself; and asked God to give me the understanding that I needed of this scripture so that I can do what He will have me to do. I continued to pray to God for understanding until He gave it to me. I was not going to let it go until I got the answer. (Any one who knows me, knows that I take the Word of God seriously. I don't play around with being knowledgable of what God expects of me. How can I do it if I don't understand what it is that I am suppose to do)? BUT GOD!
Two days later, God sent His answer to me. Just as I was beginning work, I said, "Lord, I am still waiting on your answer to my question." And sure enough, just as I said it, my phone rung. It was a close, dear friend of mine who had heard my question, and explained to me how God had given it to her. Just as she was talking, it was like a light bulb went off in my head. My spirit knew that what God had given her, was for me. I knew it was God speaking through her because my spirit immediately became at peace. While I was listening to her, I was thanking Jesus too.
Had I not prayed for God's wisdom, and expected Him to answer me, there is no doubt in my mind that I would be lacking in wisdom to this day. It is only through Him that I have been informed; that my question has been answered; and that I can walk in victory knowing that my Heavenly Father will answer me. THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1John 5:14-15
