Confidence In Prayer

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1John 5:14
We as Christians are very fortunate to serve a God that loves us so much that he desires to have a relationship with us. He has made himself available to us so that we can communicate with him anytime we want to. He is faithful, loyal, honest, caring, and concern about our well-being. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. HE IS AWESOME!
Around 1:00am Tuesday morning, my daughter woke me up to tell me that my 14 month old granddaughter had a fever of 103. Of course I asked her the usual questions, "Did you give her medicine before she went to bed, was it time for another dose, is she implying that something hurts,etc.,etc.,etc." As she was calling her doctor for advice, I held my granddaughter, took her in my office, and proceeded to call my doctor ( JESUS). I walked back and forth thanking God for being the awesome God He is, thanking Him for the opportunity to come before His presence, and thanking Him for His Word being true. I spoke His word to Him that He said," He sent His Word to heal and deliver, and that I was trusting and depending on Him to do just that." I told Him that I knew that one word or one touch from Him and my grandbaby would be delivered of this fever. Then I began to praise Him through songs. Immediately, I felt a body that was once burning up (from head to toe), start to cool off. Her body got cooler and cooler. The more I praised Him, the cooler she got. Then I began to thank Him again for answering my prayers, and taking the time out to listen.
By now, my daughter entered the room to tell me what the doctor had said. I told her to feel the baby's body. My doctor had already answered. I explained to her ( once again) the importance of praying for your children and the power of prayer.
I don't know what she got out of that experience, but I know that once again my God came to my rescue! He was a very presence help in the time of trouble. I love you Lord, and thanks for being there once again!
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
