1Thessalonians 5:17-18 - Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Why do you think God tells us to pray without ceasing? I think it is because He knows what we will encounter each day. He knows that without His help, we would not overcome life's challenges. It is only through Him and by Him, that we make it through each day. Without His grace and mercy, the enemy would devour us (see John 10:10).
Prayer also revives our spirit and restores us physically and mentally. It gives us the power through JesusChrist, to fight and conquer the obstacles that we face daily. Romans 8:37 tells us that, "Nay in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." The key words here are "through him."
Matthew 19:26- ..."With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
It is only during our time of prayer, that we communicate with God , giving thanks, praises, and worship to the Almighty whom deserves so much more, along with making our supplications known to Him. It is during this time that we fellowship with Him, continually building our relationship with Him, falling more and more in love wih Him, and appreciating Him for being the Awesome God that He is.
We should count ourselves extremely blessed for being allowed to come into His presence. And when we enter His presence, we need to show Him our gratitude and appreciation through songs and praise. HALLELUJAH!!!
I leave you with this Psalm as a daily reminder:
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
IN JESUS' NAME
