Confess your faults one to another, and pray for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
God never cease to amaze me in responding to my prayers. Something that I pray for on a daily basis is to always have an encouraging word for those I come in contact with. Each day, God gives me an opportunity to lift someone's spirit through His Word. Sometimes it may be with a stranger while I am out running errands, or someone I know who stand in the need of encouragement.
Regardless of who it is, I thank God for not only listening to me, but for answering my prayer. I thank Him for the ability to get my prayer through. I thank Him for trusting me with His Word to share with others. I thank Him for speaking the right words to me, and through me in each situation that comes my way.
As we come closer to Christmas Day, let us be aware of those who are hurting, depressed, discouraged, or have given up, and remind them of the goodness of Jesus and the reason for the season. Let us remember to pray one for another, intercede on someone's behalf, just as Jesus does for us. Hebrews 7:25 says, "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."
Let's go out today and spread the love of God. DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
