Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. Romans 12:17
The bible tells us not to repay anyone evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good. During those time when people have pushed our buttons to the point that we want to give them a piece of our mind, we have to be careful how we respond. We must be mindful of the words that we allow to come out of our mouth. Are the words coming out of our mouth speaking life or death? Are we speaking blessings or cursings? Proverbs 18:21 says," Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. What fruit are you eating? Whatever fruit you eat you must know that you are the one who chose it; not anyone else. Regardless of how a conflict may come about, you have control over how you will handle it. What words will you speak today to diffuse an unpleasant conversation? Words of righteousness or unrighteousness? Remember, the choice is yours!
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
